I swallowed a watermelon, my 9 months pregnancy

I could not believe my belly has grown so much! It looks like I just swallowed a watermelon! It is so difficult now to sleep, if I turn on my left side my belly would be hanging so I put a pillow and then put another pillow under my back for support because if I roll on the other side it will pull me back.

I am now on week 40, and I feel very heavy now. I can barely walk. I am due in 3 days but the midwife told me they will induce me before my due date. I really feel like my belly is like a water balloon and according to whattoexpect.com the size of my belly now is the size of a small pumpkin!

Our flat is in the 3rd floor of the building and to get there I have to go up two flights of stairs; each of them has 15 steps. It’s difficult and it’s like I’m crawling.

Since this is my last week, I’d like to take a look back at my 9 months pregnancy.

1st month – May: I did not lose weight despite my daily work out with my trainer and being on a diet.  I did not have any food cravings or morning sickness; everything was normal other than the confusion on what to do. In fact, I went to a ball on Catalina Island with Michael and went for hike with my friends.

2nd month – June: My baby bump started to peak a little by this time it was a bit visible already at the launching of my TV show for Manila Up TV.  Every year I do my birthday photoshoot and I have been delaying this photoshoot for months already. So, before my bump got bigger I decided to have the photoshoot done. You can also see the bump on our wedding day on the 17th of June.

3rd month – July: While I already felt my growing baby and I can really feel my belly stretching as it expanded, like literally I can feel the stretching of my skin. It was quite tough when Michael and I went camping at Sequoia National Park.

4th month – August: My baby bump was very visible already when I interviewed theFilipino pop singer Pops Fernandez. I still went to my daily work out; I even lifted weights as heavy as 20 lbs until my doctor let me stop doing it. We had the first scan of our baby and it was a happy moment to finally see what he/she looked like.

5th month – September: I am indeed pregnant! I could no longer hide it. You can see my photos here when I was at the pool with Michael and when we went to Big Sur on a road trip.

6th month – October: We finally got my U.K. Visa and Michael was about to leave back to England and I needed to visit my mum in the Philippines. My bump is already big when we went to see all my friends for the last time at a hike in Eaton Canyon. Aside from my maternity photoshoot I also had some photos with my cousins at a resort shortly before I left the Philippines.

7th month – November: I left Los Angeles on the 2nd of November. I was already 7 months pregnant by then. I was waddling and had a hard time walking at a mall with my friend. I was also panting when I did Karaoke singing at a friend’s house.

Nagkagidlay
tired?

8th month – December: Despite my inability to swim and difficulty in getting from A to B, I consistently joined the aqua fit at a nearby gym. Michael took this photo of my belly that now looks as big as a watermelon. When we went to his parents home in Sheffield, I was sick and had a hard time breathing.

9th month – January: I am now ready to pop, but sometimes I get scared at just the thought of giving birth. I am doing all I can to avoid induction so this week I went to the aqua fit class twice and went for a walk with Michael at the beach; hopefully the baby will just come out on its own.
